Description
Kronplatz, or Plan de Corones, is one of the most popular ski resorts in the Dolomites. It has strong cultural influences from the Tyrol region, so the Austrian language is also frequently used in this fascinating ski resort. For skiing pleasures, it offers a wide range of slopes for skiers of all levels.
More than 120 kilometers of perfectly groomed ski slopes and 32 modern ski lifts await the skiers in Kronplatz, but they do not sleep on their laurels. Every year they add some new pistes to their repertoire so you can always try something new!
The resort boasts a great mix of easy, intermediate, and expert slopes, which makes it a great choice for every skier. However, families can really enjoy their time on Kronplatz on more than 50 kilometers of beginner and easy slopes, where the young ones can hone their skills while their parents enjoy intermediate slopes, perfect for carving, or try themselves on expert black slopes. Even the best skiers in the World Cup compete on Kronplatz mountain every year, so you will find enough challenging terrain for sure.
The Kronplatz ski resort also offers ski schools and private skiing instructors, so you can upgrade your level of skiing throughout your skiing holidays in the Dolomites. The ski area around Kronplatz also offers off-piste activities such as cross-country skiing, sledding, and tobogganing for the young ones. So you can be sure that you will not get bored in this Alpine pearl.
While you are staying under Kronplatz mountain, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site, be sure to soak in beautiful views that present themselves to you on every step. Dolomites are famous for their burning color at sunsets, when limestone peaks became a rainbow of peachy, red, and crimson colors, shining all at once.
And when the sun finally sets, it is time to immerse yourself in local cuisine. Start with lively apres-ski activities in local huts and bars, and when you are ready for dinner, try out the authentic local cuisine, such as dumplings, polenta, and a variety of cheeses. In Kronplatz you will find high-class cuisine mixed with authenticity and the homely feeling of Alpine huts.
If you are looking to spend perfect holidays with your family in the Dolomites, we are confident that you will immensely enjoy Kronplatz as your vacation destination.

The best time for skiing is from mid-December to April when the weather conditions are the most stable. Otherwise, the ski resorts in the Dolomites usually open their slopes for business at the beginning of December, but the proportion of open ski runs depends on the snow conditions. In the first days of December, some connecting runs to other ski resorts may not be open yet.
